Conference on Economics & Foreign Trade

The International Intelligence Unit of Fundação Getulio Vargas invites all interested parties to:

“Economics & Foreign Trade Conference”

Which will be held at the Foundation’s headquarters (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) on March 22 and 23rd, 2018.

The conference is open to the public and aims to bring together renowned international experts to discuss economic changes in the Atlantic area and the new opportunities and challenges for Brazil, the European Union and other actors.

The event is an achievement of the ‘Jean Monnet Network on Atlantic Studies’ project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of European Union, which brings together 10 Research Institutions and think tanks spread across 4 continents of the Atlantic. All participating countries are considered strategic in the Atlantic area, and the coordination of the work is provided by FGV IIU in Brazil.

The objective of the project is to develop a network to analyze three relevant issues in the Atlantic, of particular interest to the European Union: Energy, Economy and Human Security.

The event will be an excellent opportunity to discuss the perspectives for Brazil and other actors represented on the Network in shaping the future of the Atlantic, especially through joint initiatives in both public and private areas.

The conference will be held in English.
